Validation

The validation document for SOLAS has been split into a number of downloadable components, each in the form of a self-extracting compressed file. The main document is ValidationOverview.doc. It describes the theory and methodology behind the validation.

Following each download link there is information given regarding the size of the compressed file, the size of the data when extracted, the number of sub-directories and the number of files.

Overview

Overview.exe (173KB, 541KB, 0 sub-directories, 1 file)
This file creates a directory called OverView into which it places a Word for Windows document describing the validation process.

The following self-extracting files are data and output files from the validation process. They are named in the relevant sections of the overview document.

Single Imputation

Basic.exe (42KB, 5.97KB, 4 sub-directories, 11 files)
A directory called Single Imputation which contains 4 sub-directories, containing SAS, ASCII and RTF files used for validating Group Means, Hot-Deck and Last Value Carried Forward methods of Single Imputation. The self-extracting code accounts for over 37KB of this download file.

Predicted.exe (1,034KB, 4.39MB, 19 sub-directories, 42 files)
A directory called Single Imputation which contains a number of sub-directories containing SAS and RTF files used for validating the Predicted Mean method of Single Imputation.

Multiple Imputation

Predictive.exe (13,047KB, 56.9MB, 16 sub-directories, 296 files)
A directory called Predictive Mean which contains a number of sub-directories containing SAS and RTF files used for validating the Predictive Mean method of Multiple Imputation.

Propensity.exe (260KB, 1.04MB, 8 sub-directories, 134 files)
A directory called Propensity Score which contains a number of sub-directories containing SAS and RTF files used for validating the Propensity Score method of Multiple Imputation.

Plausibility.exe (474KB, 1.74MB, 7 sub-directories, 48files)
A directory called Plausibility Checks which contains a number of sub-directories containing SAS and RTF files used for checking the statistical properties of datasets imputed by SOLAS.

Combined.exe (109KB, 653KB, 7 sub-directories, 62files)
A directory called Combining Results which contains a number of sub-directories containing the RTF output files from SOLAS and SAS.
