FAQ

Q. Could you please answer a question about output file naming. In earlier versions of BMDP with use of the command “run” in the main menu BMDP saved the output automatically under the name of the running input file with the new extension “out”. Is it possible to set this function, the automatic naming of the Output with the name of the running input file as described, in the new Output File naming option of BMDP?

A. By default the Output in BMDP will be saved into an ASCII text file called Out.tmp. The user can then choose to save or discard this output once it has been created. If the user chooses to save this then you will be prompted to enter a file name otherwise this output will be overwritten the next time some analysis is run. There is also an option in the File menu to specify a file name to use for output. This is selected in the main text editor window.

Q. Will BMDP run on Windows VISTA?

A. Yes BMDP has been fully tested on Windows VISTA and will install and run without any problems.

Q. Does this version of BMDP contain all of the analysis techniques that were included in my old version of BMDP?
