Stepwise Logistic Regression using BMDP Statistical Software Program LR

LR computes parameters of the logistic model where the dependent variable is binary. The independent variables can be continous or categorical and entered in a stepwise manner. LR generates three types of design variables for categorical variables and their interactions. Under appropriate conditions, coefficients of binary variables can be interpreted as natural logarithms of odds ratios adjusted for the linear effects of covariates.
