3R – Nonlinear Regression
Nonlinear Regression using BMDP Statistical Software Program 3R
For built-in and user specified functions, 3R uses analytically exact partial derivatives in the iterative process to estimate parameters. A Gauss-Newton algorithm is used which essentially fits a plane tangent to the response surface.
- Estimates of parameters of nonlinear function via Gauss-Newton algorithm
- 7 built-in functions, or functions defined using BMDP instructions
- Exact linear constraints on the parameters
- Plots of predicted and observed values, residuals
- Sum of squares profile plots of paramters, with confidence intervals
- Durbin-Watson statistics
