1L – Life Tables and Survivor Functions

Life Tables and Survivor Functions using BMDP Statistical Software Program 1L

1L uses either the product-limit (Kaplan-Meier) or the actuarial life table (Cutler and Ederer) method to estimate the survivor function. If subjects are separated into treatment groups, the survivor function can be estimated for each and tested for equality.

  • Life-table and product-limit (Kaplan-Meier)estimates of the survival (time-to-response) distributions
  • Survival curves for all, or subsets of subjects
  • Mantel-Cox, Tarone-Ware, Breslow and Peto-Prentice tests and associated trend tests for equality of curves between groups
  • Plots of cumulative survival function, hazard function
  • Stratified analysis
  • Brookmeyer-Crowley confidence interval for median survival time
